ラットの胃切除実験モデルにおいて、ビスフォスフォネートが骨減少症の進行を抑えました。このことを病理学的検討も加えて示しました。

癌細胞がCD147 を分泌すると、周囲組織からメタロプロテネースが分泌されます。その両者が強く発現することによって食道がんが進展するメカニズムを明らかにしました。当然、予後とも関係します。

S-1(TS1)が進行胃がんの患者さんに非常に良く効いたという話です。主治医は、ほとんどあきらめかけて、新しい抗がん剤を自宅でもできるからということではじめたら、治ってしまいました。こういう奇跡的なことも起こり得るので、まだまだ研究していかなくてはなりません。
